The Great Ocean Road, surrounded by the Southern Ocean is one of the world's best fishing locations. This 2.5 day tour consists of exploring the Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles on day 1 before enjoying a full or half day private fishing charter on day 2. This charter will be tailored to suit your fishing experience (none required) and interests whether you are looking for Deep Sea, Tuna, Crayfish or Reef-fishing. Depending on the season we will also get the chance to look for Southern right whales, seals and an abundance of birdlife. On this tour you will also be given an in-depth local’s experience of the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell National Park, the scenic Great Ocean Road, Great Otway National Park and experience some of Australia’s most beautiful coastal towns. As you are staying two nights in the region on this tour, you will get to experience everything the region has to offer allowing for plenty of photo opportunities including the best locations for sunset and sunrise.

Day 1 Great Ocean Road, Great Otway National Park and 12 Apostles

Stop At: Bells Beach

See Australia's most surfing beach and home of the world's oldest surfing event, the Rip Curl Pro. Here we will be greeted by a local surfer who will explain the regions surfing history, different breaks, and discuss there experiences of surfing at this incredible spot.

Stop At: Anglesea Golf Club

Get up close to over 300 eastern grey kangaroos located on the Anglesea Golf Course, famous for its mob of resident roos that live here in the wild.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Great Ocean Road

Enjoy the scenic Great Ocean Road drive between Torquay and Port Campbell in the comfort of our luxury Mercedes Benz vehicles. Let our local guide take you to their favourite spots off the beaten track and away from the crowds ensuring you have a once in a lifetime experience with us.

One of the most photographed spots on the Great Ocean Road, this memorial acknowledges the challenges faced by workers during the construction of the road.

Stop At: Lorne

Enjoy a walk along the beach and fishing pier in Lorne, one of Victoria's most popular coastal towns.

Stop At: Erskine Falls

Tumbling 30 metres down a rocky face in a fern filled rainforest setting. Erskine Falls drips with natural charm. It's the most accessible of the regions waterfalls.

Stop At: Teddy's Lookout

One of our favourite local photography spots, this lookout provides a spectacular view over the coastline with the Great Ocean Road snaking through the Otway National Park.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Apollo Bay

Enjoy a food and drink stop at one of our favourite local spots in Apollo Bay, a seaside village embraced by tranquil beaches, rolling green hills and the Great Otway National Park. At lunch we will be joined by a local fisherman who will provide local stories about the fishing industry along the Great Ocean Road.

Stop At: Cape Otway

Cape Otway is one of the best places in Victoria to spot local koalas in the wild away from the crowds.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Gibsons Steps

Here we make our way down to the beach via the 86 steps that were carved into the face of the cliff by local settler Hugh Gibson. Once on the beach you will be dwarfed by the 70-metre high vertical cliffs while getting up close to two giant limestone stacks rising up out of the sea known as Gog and Magog.

Stop At: Twelve Apostles

Witness the rugged splendour of the famous 12 Apostles, magnificent rock stacks that rise up majestically from the Southern Ocean.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Loch Ard Gorge

Hear the story of Loch Ard Shipwreck and learn about the rich maritime history of the area while wandering the trails at Loch Ard Gorge. We will also take a walk onto the beach which is famous for its smooth clear blue water.

Stop At: London Bridge

See London Bridge, which was a stack formed by a gradual process of erosion, and until 1990 formed a complete double-span natural bridge before it famously collapsed.

Stop At: Port Fairy

Overnight Accommodation will be in Port Fairy or Port Campbell, both beautiful seaside villages with a rich fishing history.

Day 2 A Day with Local Fisherman on a Private Charter

Stop At: Port Fairy

The Great Ocean Road, surrounded by the Southern Ocean is one of the world's best fishing locations. This charter will be tailored to suit your fishing experience (none required) and interests whether you are looking for Deep Sea, Tuna, Crayfish or Reef-fishing. We can customise this experience to either be 8 hours or if you would like a little bit more time in Port Fairy we can reduce to 5 hours.

Stop At: Warrnambool

Depending on the season we will also get the chance to look for Southern right whales, seals and an abundance of birdlife while we are out on the water.

Overnight Accommodation will be in Port Fairy or Port Campbell (same as night one), both beautiful seaside villages with a rich fishing history.

Day 3 Port Fairy to Melbourne

Stop At: Port Fairy

Explore the town of Port Fairy in the morning before we make our way back to Melbourne through open farmland, arriving back into Melbourne at 1:00pm (we can be flexible with our time back to Melbourne depending on your itinerary).
